God bless everyone involved in the Please Call Home documentary for pouring into it their hearts and Souls ..Outstanding! someone up there must love me.. yesterday was magical from start to finish.. heading into work, a tiny Gopher crossed the road..'course I stopped..mybad.. thought it was one of those fantastic Florida Box Turtles, with the gorgeous painted sun-rays bottom..bring home to the kids.. but no, the smallest baby Gopher Tortoise..what a treat! I hand-hurried the little thing across the road and back home into the sugar sand hills..heading into work , just behind Kevin with a smile on my face.. Then a bombardment of customers..Nothing is as dear to a small business owner's heart then a flurry of customers..This july has proved a turn around from the past economic situation , and in South freakin Fla no less..Put the rubber to the road on 2 , if I were one of those folks who love to complain about every freakin moment, Id have been bitchin we missed lunch..oh well. Overhead a great flock of Wood Storks throws glorious shade across the steaming tropical sun....Badly endangered..the most Ive seen at one time in years...a good thing. Never-the less we're running late.. I just know Im being jinxed...the most red and blues Ive ever seen in my life.. lost count at 36 police vehicles..representing every branch of that Brotherhood. Shepard -dogs big , bold and tails wagging. Interstate 75 a standstill..no way we will make it to the movie in time..WHY on earth didnt we just roll up 41??? My heart about to break, I had to fight to keep tears from welling up and making a complete ass of myself. Kevin is cool, never to worry...we'll get there we'll get there..Its Sarasota, he'd be surprised if the Sarasotans were up and out of their beds yet.. People everywhere ..Gorgeous people...Sparkling cars ..Flowing water-coloured pastel silk clothing on the never too thin or too rich crowd..God love-em! BO emerges out of the crowd..cant control myself, I have to love-up that child..he understands, know how we all love him. Kevin humming some crazy Waylon tune under his breathe about places he aint welcomed in a high-fa-lutin crowd.. The Allman Brothers Band is my high.. Jammed into 3 tiny theatres, strains of ABB streaming out of the speakers...Mama Louise smiling big across the screen..to know Mama is to know LOVE...I was in heaven.. after a hard days work, here I was back in Macon , a could feel a breathe of relief escaping my being..call home, you bet. Ju-Dan, you know I love you..Berry's Linda..WOW!!! in Gregg's words- "a Goddess"...brilliant ! eloquent ! everything good in this world, wrapped up into a Goddess... In my minds eye, I see Berry..beaming busting with pride in heaven above...My heart says they will be together again..I believe. Joseph Campbell....Bad-ass!..everyone is ..Gregory , his so funny self. ..makes me laugh, I love that about Gregg.. the second Gregg's face come in view..the entire Sarasota audience, this wonderful assortment of fans and fine film lovers ... sucks in deep and loud communal gasp of air...again Im laughing... everything about this movie..Brother Duane looming larger than life..Berry, sweet Brother Berry..sparkling blues eyes intense with all that was going on around him..You cant help but feel the love love love.....Dickey-boy dark and so gosh darned handsome it hurts to look at him, his wonderful rhythm is like magnet...I feel my heart pause beating and have to shake myself back to life...Dickey-boy and Brother Duane toe to toe..the ultimate. Candy Oakley...so sweet and young and pretty..Tough as nails..you cant help but love each and everyone of the Brothers and Sisters..all so bigger than life... and then...one of my favorites pix of all-time,.flashing up there across the great sceen..Joe Dan , sweet beautiful Joe Dan Petty...behind the wheel of his big chopper.. Judi sunk low behind him, melting into eachother like lovers do.. Blue Sky..young and regal and fabulous..its no wonder she inspired a masterpiece... so much more..Berry strumming a twelve string...His darling wife..easily one of the most beautiful woman on earth....He smiles and laughs how lucky he is...Welcome home to FLA young Oakley family..God bless. the fans..Hemlock..you are a man amongst men...Love and thank you ...
