Cool story, Leon. At Wanee, I was standing off to the left of the Peach Stage by the back gate and Derek's mom came by with Charlie, Sophie and two other kids, which I assume were the kids' cousins, and they were holding hands and making their way through the crowd. A young lady standing nearby watched as they came by. I think her initial reaction was, "Aw, how cute!" I went over to her and said, "Do you know who that was?" She said she didn't. I said, "That was Derek Truck's mother and children." I think it is cool that Derek makes touring a family affair. It keeps the kids close to mom and dad and I think Derek recognizes when others bring their young kids along to shows and exposing them to quality music at a young age. Kudos to Derek for making time for children. He really is a cool cat!
