I realize this is news to no one, but I need to vent.
As horrid as ticketbastard is, live nation is many times worse. This is ridiculous.
I tried to get 1 ticket. ONE TICKET for the 1st Chicago show at the on sale hour and came up in section 207...all the way to one side. Then I kept at it for 30 minutes and my choices oscillated between 201 and 207, WAY to the far sides. No 100 level choices at all, and no center 200 level choices.
I'm sorry, but for the prices I'm paying, forget travel and lodging, I'm not accepting some $hit seat smushed up against the side of the venue with a wicked angle of view, when I'm trying to get one, (ONE), ticket, the day, minute and second they go on sale. That's total BS!
I'm PISSED!
I already have RR tix, so I'll go to Chicago on the way and try my luck at the gate on the day of the show. If I get shut out there, eff it. It's Chicago. There are plenty of other things to do.
It really cheesed my fries when I saw Beacon patrons with great seats they acquired the day of, or a few days before a show, while my seats were mediocre going in on the day of sale.
I know the band has little or no control over ticket companies, so my venom is not directed there.
My ire is soley at these ticket companies who appear to sell all the $hit seats first and then release better ones later. I know there are also scalpers promotions, etc. But this situation is way out of hand.
I'm tired of this nonsense. Regular fans have no chance at decent seats in this day and age.
I tell you, when the ABB plays their last concert ever, it might just be mine to. I'm done spending good money for crap quality.
