Beacon update : Went to see Levon Helm last night. Wait to you see the theatre. It looks amazing. It's like years of dust were scraped off. The paintings and statues are so vivid. It really looks great. The balcony was far from sold out so the staff was very mellow and polite. They were really on top of any funny business but I didn't see any one get kicked out or drama.
Levon was amazing. Donald Fagan was just playing as a sideman. No real vocals from him. He just seemed to enjoy playing in Levon's band. Very cool. The best part was Pheobe Snow blowing the roof off . What a voice !! I don't recall the songs really. I do recall that It Makes No Difference was incredible. What can you say about Cambell and Vivino ? They're top notch. Everything was just so good it didn't matter what the song itself was.. Can't wait to see the ABB in this place again.
