Hey guys....I just wanted to check in here for a minute to say thank you to those of you who have posted here and sent me PM's regarding Rita's Mom Grace. Your love and good wishes have been felt and much needed to get us through this tough time. THere has been little change in her condition and the best way to say it is that it's simply day to day. She has been on kidney dialysis 3 time a week and has had other complications as well, one of which is pneumonia which has led to breathing problems. She has been eating very little which obviously is making her weak. So that's it, as simply as I can put it. Don't know how much longer she can go on, but she has been strong to this point. Its not a good situation and we are just taking it as it comes. Thanks again for all your kindness and concern. By the way, Rita and I met 10 years ago yesterday and has been a true blessing to have in my life. She is a real joy and a gem! I actually brought Rita to her first ABB show on our third date back in March of 1998 during the Beacon run. I guess I had to show her the real me right away! I guess it worked cause she's still with me :-). She may not be a die hard fan like most of us, but she definitely appreciates the music, the cool vibe of the scene and of course the kindness and closeness of the great folks here. We are a family, no doubt about it. I also wanted to offer my condolences to Red Dog for the loss of his Mom. I also like to wish my good friend Chuck (aka Wharfy), a very speedy recovery from his recent troubles with the gall bladder procedure. We all miss you Chuck and are pulling for you! Also, congrats to Nic on the GREAT NEWS! (((claps and cheers!))) On the lighter side of things: I loved that short Moogis video interview with the one and only Jaimoe! THere is no one like him and hearing him speak is like listening to a real music historian and of course a drummimg legend. He is so laid back and humble and is a gift to all of us. To think that man has been on the back lines with Butch for 40 years now is truly amazing really. The greatest drumming tandem in history bar none IMO. The easiest way to give Jaimoe props is to say, if he wasn't there, the sound of the ABB completely changes. There is a real uniqueness to his sound, style and stage presence. To those that think The ABB is just a guitar band, watch Jaimoe, Butch and Marc for a few minutes and your opinion may change...just a little. Peace always
