Ryan, you know I'm in the fight with you! I'll sign any petition and participate in any "march in the streets" type protest. SOLIDARITY! That is what we need! Over the weekend, I analogized our battle with scalpers with that of the Civil Rights Movement. During the movement, folks got up off their asses and faced vicious dogs, fire hoses - all sorts of indignation to make their voices heard. It took enough folks - including those who were not denied a seat on a bus or at a lunch counter to get their message taken seriously. SOLIDARITY! So you're probably rationalizing, "well, I've never seen the 'Brothers at the Beacon before", or "what's me buying one or two tickets at SCALPER prices going to hurt?". As someone else suggested, if you're not part of the solution - you're part of the problem! TicketMaster is just thumbing their noses at us! When you go to their site to buy tickets, why isn't there just a "SOLD OUT" message next to the show dates? Why do they instead, allow you to enter their crypted message and wait until you get a choice of AUCTION or TicketsNow? If this matter ever does get investigated by the proper authorities (who might that even be?) and it is discovered that TicketMaster is merely hoarding tickets for SCALPING by their sister company, TicketsNow - I believe there should be public executions! Okay, that last sentence was a little radical, but you get my drift!
