Frimjolly... you have made some excellent points... However... when they are celebrating a 40th year of musical success and all who knew and played with Duane ( that is something new that only happened in the last week or so ) I ask how can you eliminate a founding member.... It just doesn't make sense... and it's as if they are jerking the fans around.. I don't know if they asked Dickey Betts and if he is harboring bad feelings and has said ""No" .. but it certainly looks to be the other way around .. and the Allman Brothers Band are going to ignore his contributions to their success .. It is beyond me as how they could .. I just watched a video Susea posted Whipping Post .. looks to be a bit fresher and cleaned up .. and there you have it... The *IT* factor... it's all right there... the best band ..playing on all cylinders... WOW... Again, I am not saying today's band is not good.. They are... but that is not how this whole thing started.... Gregg said.. well you all know .. by now.. If your gonna get get down and party about your musical life and musical contributions with your Band for the past 40 years... you must have a beginning, middle and the present or end.... Simple... all should be included , some can not as they have passed.... but for all living band members and roadies that this band made a big deal about in the early 70's should all be acknowledged and be an active participate . Just saying 😉
