RD, I don't post here much, but wanted to let you know that I stand behind your thoughts, and feelings of this 40th. As much as I enjoy the band today, it's just not right what is going on. I will be watching Moogis during the Beacon run. If they would have said up front that Dickey would be there, nothing would have kept me away. I will be seeing Dickey's band in March here in Ohio, and that decision came when I was in Atlanta last October. I went to get a drink during Jessica because it just didn't seem right to me hearing that song without Dickey. I realized as good of a band as they are now, there is enough material for them to play without using that song in particular. I know many here enjoy IMOER as it's played now, but that song has taken a new life without him, and the tone of the guitars are missing the tone Dickey gets with his red Les Paul. It's been awhile since I've seen him, and am looking forward to this show. The tickets are priced right for the economic situation the country is in also. I've given up hope on a reunion of the 2, as long as Butch is running the show. The whole 40th tour is starting to smell of nothing but the money involved to me. I will go see an ABB show this year somewhere in the south, but the biggest factor there is to spend some time with the great folks I got to hang with last year. We have met in the past, and it seemed to me you were a huge part of the band even in decision making. I'd love to buy you dinner at the H&H when I'm there. Kevin
