Thanks to Miss Elf and Goliath for kind words about Macon, Georgia's Big House generated Second Annual Holiday Jam at Cox Capitol Theatre on Friday, December 19th. The combination of Randall Bramblett and Caroline Aiken with Ben Bouman's harp and veteran Capricorn recording artist blues legend Larry Howard was off the charts. Then later to take the show home, a band to remember and check out, The News Architects led by local favorites Scott Baston and Will Robinson. When Mama Louise stays at the gig until midnight, you know it was the place to be. Bouman is a phenomenal world ranked harmonica player from Holland who will blow your mind with his playing skills. Also featured at the gig was Eddie Kirkland, 85 year old music legend who played a rousing 30 minute set of raw blues. It's worth Looking up the amazing Eddie Kirkland. www.eddiekirkland.com Had a great turnout, a lively crowd around 300 in the cozy historic venue, and with help from wonderful sponsors raised around $4,000 for Mentor's Project of Bibb County, plus a ton of food donated by many attendees for the hungry in our "Give a Peach" can drive.
