The revenue stream from the live concert CDs is NOT a cash cow. In fact, they are no longer called Instant Lives because that is a trademark of a company that went OUT of BUSINESS.
These CDs are done on a marginal basis so the fans can enjoy the live shows. Sure, the band makes money on them -- but not that much. Certainly FAR less than a new studio release.
