What a day of mixed emotions. Joy for the music he left and sorrow for his untimely departure. I've been listening to the Dreams box set and when he talks about the death of King Curtis and does " Soul Seranade" wow brings tears to my eyes. I dont know if this a true story , never saw it myself, but Jimi hendrix was on Carson and was asked how it felt to be the greatest guitarist alive? Jimi replied that he wasn't but " some cat named Duane Allman was". If it didn't happen it still is true. My e-mail to Ben and Jerry is on the way i can't think of a tastier way of remembering Duane, I'm already fat so they can count on a container a week from me. they say as long as people still have love in their hearts their loved ones will never truly be gone. If that's true with the love displayed on this guestbook Duane will never be gone. God bless Gregg and his family. We love them all.
