Hey y'all! Anyone in attendance for the DTB in Charlotte last nite. I'm sure there was because there wasn't a soul at the Double Door for Larry McRay. And you missed a heck of a show! Larry's abilities as a guitarist are second to none. He had a killer band featuring his brother Steve on drums, Brain England on keys and none other than the great Johnny B. Gayden on bass! It started out a small but promising crowd, but the majority left after the first set. I moved up to the front row for a total guitar tour-de-force. It was like sitting in my living room. I only need two other things and it would have been nirvana. Folks if you get a chance to see Larry McRay or buy one of his CDs don't pass up the chance to do so. You won't be dissappointed I promise you. This show reminds me of another gig I went to years ago with the nephew of a member of the Allman Brothers and an unknown cat by the name of Jimmy Herring except there were alot more people at the McRay show.
