Did I tell y'all I saw Levon Helm? Well, I did!!!! Saw him at Wanee. It was magical and emotional and I am so honored. Absolutely gleeful, I was. More than once, I thought I'd died, and it was all right! I would look to my right, and Goliath would have his eyes closed. I would look to my left, and my favorite taper would have a grin going and I'd give it back to him. Once or twice we shared teary "whews". Thank you, Levon. I hope I never get over it!! There you were, on stage, with the best band ever, backing you, the most beautiful voices, harmonizing with you. The dream of my life, come true, it was! Thank you, Allman Brothers Band, for the Wanee Festival. The best festival ever! The line-ups you have given us each year have been tops. The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park is the most perfect spot. Thank you for showing it to so many of us! I got to see (dance my ars off to) Randall Bramblett Band, Tinsley Ellis, Junior Brown, and on and on! Thank you! I got to see a family jam that was out of this world. Thank you!! I got to stand behind and below Jaimoe and watch him play!!!!!!!!!!! Fiyo on the Biyo, oh wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!
