OK GBers and those Beacon bound.... Here is the deal on having a get together in Central Park. Let me know your thoughts and opinions on this and if you think it's worth pursuing. We can get a permit for our gathering for a cost of $25. We do not have to pay the additional 'security' costs because I told them we will be having a 'family reunion' 🙂 and that does not fall under the category of needing police presence. We would have to designate a specific area/location in the Park where we will have the 'reunion' and we need to bring the permit with us (no big deal). We can eat, play music, have sodas etc, but there is a strict NO ALCOHOL policy in all NYC parks. We cannot even get a special permit to have beer or wine. It doesn't make a difference to me, but I know it would effect a lot of people's decisions on whether to attend or not. Should we pursue this idea? Thoughts? Opinions? I have not heard back from Lucille's yet. Will let you know when I do. 🙂
