You know, it never ceases to amaze me as to the abilty of many to have the "mule with blinders on" syndrome.
I will say this about brother Duane,
he started a NEW musical genre aka,
"Southern Rock" which Warren, Derek, or whoever else you want to name will never do. Duane was about the music, not the hype, not money, or the business. Duane is a guitar legend, a force which raised the "bar'
for bands, musicians, and fans to live up to or pack it up and go home. The standard of music, innovations in guitar, toneality, and just plain delivery of the songs, is not matched by anyone today. The arrangements of the songs, the composure and musical posture will not be matched.
Great players come and go. Few, very few accomplished what Duane did.
Some people don't get it, some never will. That is the sad thing we face, ssooo, go out and enlighted someone
with the music of Duane Allman.
I will do my part at the 'Jam for Duane" as I will be playin' my ass off for him and Berry.
