Well I've beeen in lurk mode the last couple of weeks but I'm comin out right now to jon the conversation with some of my favorite people like Peachnutt (still diggin' the Duane stuff buddy!:D), Jody, GPM, LamDog - LETS JAM DUDE!:guitarist:, Johnny and all the rest of you kind folks! By the way, weez guyz up here in Joizy ain't got no accent, right Jody?:lol::lol: Gerald mentioned the awesome Dark Star tease from Derek on the Raleigh show - I actually meant to bring that up today. Also check out Dereks quick "Blind Man In The Dark" tease at the Darien Lake "sculptures in air" show during Rockin Horse - very cool. Love teases, quotes, hints etc. from Warren and Derek. One really cool mention from Warren from his gigs with Phil Lesh last year - he had been teasing with "Tears of a Clown" in quite a few shows of the Summer tour until the Band broke out a full version of the Smokey Robinson classic at the Beacon last Fall w/ Warren on vocals. You just know that was Warrens idea! Way Cool!:alienglow: Speaking of The Beacon, it looks like Jody and a few others are trying to get Gerald to make the trip for the shows in 2003. Well let me chime in and say in my opinion there is nothing like a Brothers show at The Beacon!! I truly believe the energy is unmatched, the crowd is the coolest - nobody sits down on the floor for the whole show:dance::reddancer:, The New York vibe is incredible and of course The Band loves playing there obviously. Out of the close to 60 ABB shows I've seen over the years, over 20 of them have been at The Beacon Theatre. Nothing like it!!! I think its the best live show experience you can have. In fact I think they should go back to playin 15-18 shows like they used to instead of 8-10 like they've been doing. They probably could sellout as many as they decide to play. Can anyone say Acoustic Set!- maybe? So Gerald and all the rest rest of the GBers who haven't yet made the trip - get your butts out here in March!:guitar::guitar: Peace All! :shady:Eddie:shady:
