I had to leave early while watching the Super Bowl at a friends house and found a radio station that was carrying the game. It was WLAC. Now that was a radio staion back in the day. I listened to that staion every night as a young guy. Leave the radio on all night. Otis, Sam and Dave, Marvin Gaye, Aretha, Booker T and The MGs, etc...It is in Nashville and you could pick up the signal all over the south, at night. Best radio station ever, in my book. This was before free form FM rock stations. I miss the free form format. It only lasted a few years, but it left quite an impression on this listener. It was a good time to be alive and young. Now, the only radio I listen to is RHTW. Commercials make me want to scream. Not to mention the really sorry programming. I can remember hearing the Fillmore version of Whipping Post being played on the radio, during the day. On a commercial rock and roll station. The 70's were great....EAPFP
