Here's the obituary notice for Scott Bernstein. Scott Bernstein BERNSTEIN, SCOTT, 51, of Birmingham, AL, passed away November 4, 2007. Scott, known locally as the musician Scott "Blue" Bernstein, was born in Atlanta, GA. A graduate of Boston, Massachusetts' Berkley School of Music, he was an instructor at the UAB Music Department. He was a member of the Birmingham and the Atlanta Blues Societies, as well as the owner of the Real Bottlenecking Company. Scott is survived by his mother, Thelma Bernstein; daughters, Summer Axford (Brent) and Heather Collier (Blaine); grandchildren, Bryce and Sarah Collier; sisters, Sharon (Michael) Corenblum of Atlanta, GA and Holly Reid of Chicago, IL; and his special friend, Sherry Cole. He is predeceased by his father, Bill Bernstein. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 7, at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bill Bernstein Memorial Fund at Temple Beth-El. Services under the direction of Johns Ridout's Funeral Parlors, Southside Chapel.
