If you read the ABB or Phil’s site they said how the bands were changing headlining spots each night. I agree that ABB rocked harder than Phil’s band but are you serious that you pay no respect to Phil Lesh? He’s the friggin bass player for the Grateful Dead. Written several rock classics and is regarded as one of the best bassist and musicians of the past 40 years.

FYI taperguy the ABB have never alternated with Ratdog. Ratdog has opened EVERY single show with the ABB.

AND:

On this years tour(out of 6 shows) there were only 4 shows that ABB alternated closing slots with Phil Lesh & Friends. The other two shows in Alabama ABB closes.

To all who are not paying attention, on this very short run, Phil Lesh and ABB have been switching who was opening for different shows. Had you had the forethought to look into this, you would have known that ABB was opening and coming on at 6:00. It said it when I bought my ticket, it said it on my ticket, it said it on both the ABB website and the Phil and Friends website. And in response to “The ABB are the show” comment, I am thinking that given the incredibly close relationship of the band formerly known as the Grateful Dead and the ABB, they don’t see it that way. Perhaps you should stay home if you cannot even show some appreciation for what both bands surely saw as a great show for all and a good time for themselves. Perhaps you are missing the spirit of BOTH bands!

I saw this show. Awesome. The light show was better than everything. Seriously
But i agree with the other post here. Lesh should have opened for the Brothers. They didn’t even have a light show. The energy for me, was received from the Allman’s. Sorry Phil, great musician’s but the Brother’s blew you away

FYI: Just like they did with Ratdog, ABB and P&F alternate opening from city to city. Brothers closed in Raleigh.

Very disappointed that Ticketmaster did not let ticket buyers know that the ABB were opening the show. I bought my tickets late and did not expect the band to start at 6:00 PM. I feel like I wasted my money for a show, dinner and a room since I was standing in the parking lot when the show started. The ABB are the show not Phil Lesh. Who is Phil Lesh anyway? Very disappointed!!! But I’ll be at the Beacon in NYC in 2009!!!
