The complete (!) concert now on disc 3+4 of the new BROTHERS AND SISTERS (SUPER DELUXE EDITION) 4CD Box.
This was the First Allman show I ever attended. It was also Broadcast on KSAN in San Francisco, so when I got home i listened to the broadcast my sister had taped for me. The comments at the end are Vintage Johnny Sandlin. Trouble no More and the interplay between Chuck & Dickie that starts Whippin’ post is amazing. This version of Whippin’ post is enough to raise the dead…My absolute favorite version.
Just got this show and it is a great one. I was a bit confused as to the date as the 4 songs from this set on the “Wipe the Windows…” cd list the date as November 26, 73. But the calendar shows the band didn’t play that date, so I’ll take this date as accurate.
