The Allman Bros did NOT play this show, this listing is an error. They were originally billed to play for Homecoming celebration, however, the Ides of March ended up playing instead. I am a Centre grad and researched this topic at the college’s library/newsletter archives. I could not find a reason for this lineup change but I would be interested if anyone has info!
The local Centre College paper said The Lemon Pipers of “Green Tambourine” Fame were the band playing with The Allman’s…it was Homecoming at Centre and it was the day of Jimi Hendrix’ funeral.

Link to an article about Centre College’s 1970 Homecoming, which mentions the Allman Brothers Band playing and the Lemon Pipers also appearing at the Homecoming dance: https://www.duaneallman.info/images/danvilleadvocatemessenger09301970page12.jpg
