There was a December Miami Pop Festival event but the March 1970 event never took place. 

Here’s the info on the December 1969 event – note: the ABB was not scheduled and did not perform at that event.

The Miami Pop Festival took place at the  Miami-Hollywood Motorsports Park (now known as the Miami-Hollywood Speedway) in Pembroke Pines, Florida , which is 15 miles west of Hollywood. 

 
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
  • Dates: December 27-29, 1969 
     
  • Location: Miami-Hollywood Motorsports Park (now Miami-Hollywood Speedway) in Pembroke Pines, Florida 
     
  • Other details: The festival featured acts like B.B. King, The Band, Grateful Dead, Motherlode, Santana, Sweetwater, Canned Heat, Vanilla Fudge, and Johnny Winter. 
     
  • The Miami Pop Festival is sometimes confused with the 1968 event that took place at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, Florida. 
     
  • The 1968 event, officially publicized as the “1968 Pop and Underground Festival” and “The 1968 Pop Festival”, featured Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, and Chuck Berry. 
     
  • The 1968 event was organized by Ric O’Barry and Michael Lang (who later organized Woodstock).
