Soundboard FM - Sirius XM rip

3 discs WAV, wanted this to be rip-friendly, will play and rip on any machine

Amazing show ! Been in constant rotation on the big stereo. This is not to be missed, in my opinion far and away the finest post-Grateful Dead project I have heard. Just heard some banter on this Warren saying he was playing Garcia's Tiger. How cool is that? Sounds fantastic. Just playing on the big stereo this a.m., very full, big bass, symphony all there - nice sound. I don't really vine these days, but this one was screaming to be shared.

It's all great. The "Morning Dew" is beautiful, wide panoramic Western movie-score style. and "Terrapin Station" is downright unbelievable, monumental, makes for great classical music. "Shakedown Street" and "West L.A. Fadeaway" are pure symphonic disco shlock, if these don't get you dancing then nothing will. "Uncle John's Band" is very poppy and as one person commented out there "sounds like Pat Boone", which is actually a compliment in this case. "Black Peter" drunken stumbling New Orleans horns, lazy slide guitar, man, this whole thing is fun.

The last set, special extra for Jerry's birthday, no symphony, just rock band, with Melvin Seals of the Jerry Garcia band on keys, sweet!

I looked high and low for the lossless source of this, but it is being jealously guarded - will most likely be commercially released soon. A friend of mine who was at this show said they were filming, and the way the audience applause cuts in neatly between songs then fades completely during songs suggests a live record set-up. This rip is from the rebroadcast, better than the others out there from the original broadcast, which had hiss and dropouts. This one sounds just fine, the sound is all there.

To get the seams out I bumped from original Sirius XM to WAV. Hated to do this, as Sirius is low bitrate, but I couldn't stand the seams between tracks. They are almost gone now, and are between songs, so the flow isn't perfect, but almost. Overall sound is great. Will tide us over until the commercial CD comes out.
