Hey folks - gave this show a lsiten today on a road trip. I was very impressed how tight this band sounded and according to Butch this was the first time they played together and very little practice. If that is the case all I can say is Wow! Still the best rhythm section out there, solid. Bill Evans on sax shines, really nice on Blue Sky and IMOER. What can you say about Jack, grab it for that reason alone. Lamar surprised me on vocals, very good on Stand Back and Please Come Home.
The recording, give it an A. Great work. So with that out of the way, coming to you on 2 CD's. Usual rules please post the in's and out's, keep it moving, be willing to reseed and since we've had a rash of new vinekillers pop up so to them. I paraphrase the late great SRV "You mess with my vine, you'll see a man gettin' mean" Blue Sky's to everyone else and thanks for sharing the music
