Disclaimer: This show is with the current Santana lineup, not the old band. The Santana-Journey tour started 4/13 at Madison Square Garden.

This was a very tight and high energy show. Some of the songs were shortened to allow inclusion of more "hits", but there were a couple of gems, including Marbles and She's Not There.

There were a couple of personnel changes since the last time I saw the band. Most notable was Cindy Blackman (Santana) on drums. I have seen her sit in with the band a few times, and was never that impressed. But this night she was an absolute monster.

This was the first time I have seen Santana in a theater, rather than in an arena or shed venue. Our seats were dead center and pretty close up, so the sound is very good.
