Presenting the Twelfth Godzilla Lounge
Kitty, I was telling my honey about sending you those three prints of the waterfall near my parents' house.
September will be our tenth anniversary and I've never been happier.
We see a ton of shows, it's so good to have a partner who enjoys good music as much as I do.
We are patrons at two local music venues and I've been shooting shows at both.
I'm just now starting to take prints from previous shows to have signed by the artists.
My son in Texas works for a guy who is a partner in Mike Zito's record company and I have a signed poster from Mike playing his club on NYE 2022, along with signed prints I shot of both Mike & Albert Castiglia.
Eric Gales most recently signed a print from his last show in Homer.
That venue is a 400 seat former baptist church now put to better use.
We've seen Devon & Duane there several times in various incarnations of that/those bands.
No posts in three months.
Sigh.
It is what it is.
I survived Hurricane Milton. My front and back yard and our street was flooded. Nothing in the house, thankfully. It took over 4 days for the street to clear. My granddaughter rode a kayak in the street. It was crazy!!! Hope all is well everywhere else in the world.
So glad to hear you are safe and well, Peg ... and really pleased that your house didn't get flooded ... Street Kayaking - the new Olympic Sport?
@pixielf Good to hear you got through the hurricanes ok.
I don't miss that aspect of Houston living after the one big one I went through.
We've seen so much music in the last year.
It's fantastic to have a soul mate who enjoys live rock and blues as much as I do.
Last show we saw was Warren Haynes Band in Syracuse.
Next up, Southside Johnny at our favorite venue, a former church.
This year I've had my photos signed by Mike Zito, Eric Gales, Albert Castiglia, Eric Johnson, Shemekia Copeland and an amazing Canadian guitarist, Shawn Kellerman.
Looking to get this signed the next time Walter Trout plays here.
I've shot thousands of concert images since I was 14 and of all those "action shots" on stage, this is one I'm most proud of for the emotion in it.

Wanted to send Happy New Year wishes to anyone still around. May 2025 be a year filled with love, life and much laughter!!!! And good music, of course, but that's a given here at this site. We all love it!!!
Stopped by on a whim and saw the sad news Ron Currens is no longer with us.
Hophead will be missed. Condolences to his son Ronnie.
Figured John Ott's birthday would be a good time to stop by and wish all our old friends still with us a great weekend.
Looks like this site is a graveyard now, we used to have so much fun.
On a brighter note, Warren Haynes Band is headlining the Syracuse BluesFest in two weeks.
I have friends (sadly, one passed before last year's show) on the festival board and they provide me with VIP perks and a press pass so I'll be right up front with camera gear in hand.
I give them crowd shots for their web site in return.
Stopping in to say hello. Ron, have fun at the Warren Haynes show. Is Gov't Mule done?
hello folks
Stopping in to see if anyone came by on their Summer vacation.
Fast43 was in my area this Summer, seen some pics from various locations in NY state.
We are in for Mule in Schenectady, first show of the New Year's run.
I need to post some pics from the WHB in Syracuse, headlining the NY Bluesfest in Syracuse.
I'm one of the festival's photographers.
Warren was great, as usual.
Ruthie Foster opened and sat in for a song.
Hi Ron!! Hope you're doing well.
Hi Peg!!!
Drive by post to see if the cobwebs are denser and check the amount of dust on the floor.
Lots of music coming up for us, next up, Sonny Landreth.
We have Caroline Wonderland in our 443 Social Club in Syracuse.
75 seat venue.
Gabe Stillman who just joined Mike Zito's Gulf Coast records.
Shemekia Copeland at the former church in Homer.
Warren Haynes Band in Ithaca.
Lil Ed at the 443.
Duane Betts' Palmetto Motel at the Homer venue.
An exciting headliner for the Syracuse BluesFest but I can't say who, even though noone comes around here any more.
I had an absolute blast shooting the Warren Haynes Band at last year's BluesFest.
I have to ad we still see a ton of the NY Peachy people at shows.
Buffalo Bill and his wife Gail are the most often.
Watched the Bills/Eagles game with then at the hotel in Schenectady before the Mule show 12/28.
Regularly see Mudflapgirl JoLyn and her crew.
Jeff Griffin is another regular, ran into him in Jordan, NY for Devon's Blues Summit last Summer.
Mike Piazza is another.
Haven't seen Lynn Bomberry lately, but we haven't done an Artpark show in two years so that makes sense.
