I know most of us still connect on facebook … but it is not the same … it is a bit like going into a large major franchise city centre gastro bar instead of the cosy corner of the dive bar we all used to sit in and chat …
At least we are still in touch and can maintain our friendship and that is the most important thing …

Even though I've only met a few of you loungers, I love you all, my friends. We've all shared so much about ourselves. You guys have picked me up more than a few times in my life and I'll always be grateful for that. I agree, though, this place just ain't the same and I miss that. I really miss Gregg Allman, too.

Well, Grace my youngest daughter got her drivers lisence today. That frees up my mornings. At dinner tonight I said that I built my mornings around here for the last 17 years.
She turned, hugged me and said Thanks Dad
Told Barbara this is the first phase of Empty Nest.
Grace has already been accepted into The University of Pittsburgh/Pre Med and Temple.
In other news the Stock Market is way up and my 401k is doing great

The empty nest syndrome is weird at first, Ed … until you realise you can start going out and doing things you want when you want again … then the fun begins and the empty nest is soon forgotten

Well, this Saturday, anyway.
Colin, looks like you have things under control in here, I’m gonna catch the The Last Waltz Tour tonight.
We saw Victor Wainwright last Sunday then Tinsley Eliis and Tommy Castro on Tuesday.
First show was at our favorite local 100+ person venue, the T&T show was at the 400 seat former church we also like.
The guitarist in Victor's band we first met years ago when he was 14.
He was backstage with us at Artpark in Lewiston for Dickey Betts.
Good kid, we've kept in touch for years.
Just back home from a few days in Berlin celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary … enjoyed visiting the historical sites and also the Christmas Markets … lots of lovely German cakes … oh, and a few beers too!
