Saw Dropkick Murphys last Sunday at the NY State Fair.

They filled in for Dickey at the last minute after his stroke last year.

Amazing band, over 30,000 in the courtyard for the show.

Celtic punk rock.

Not my cup of tea, Ron … I have always found their Irish style music a bit too plinky plonky and with vocals a bit too raucous at times … but a lot of people seem to like them over there … strangely they are not particularly popular in Ireland … go figure …

It's a Boston/Irish thing.

We had a blast.

Hi everybody. Grin

I'm trying to justify spending $37 but I really must have the new Fillmore release, right? Do you all have it? Would love to hear your reviews.

Hi Peg … hope you are keeping well sweetheart …

I just bought this release last weekend … it is over $50 here in the UK … I didn't buy it straight away as I already have the Skip remaster of the AUD recording of 1/28 (which here they refer to as 1/29) and also Skips remasters of the SBD recordings of 1/30 & 1/31 ………. eventually my curiosity got the better of me and I had to have it.

I still need to listen to it some more, but first impressions are that the sound quality has been improved slightly over what Skip originally sent me … there are some minor issues with 1/29 (aka 1/28) … which is why it was not included in the originally proposed release back in 2009 … but I am glad I have it … I know it is the same old same old … but Duane era is Duane era and I am addicted …

Much love, Colin …

The donation to GABBA earned $200 this year for the box of shows.

They also broke it up some, including my SRV 8/25 remaster that Skip did as a favor to me.

That went with a signed copy of Alan & Andy's new SRV biography.

The buyer contacted me and told how blown away he was with the disc.

‘ difficult for me to grasp that its been 8 years....One of the things I miss is, Hugh and I would watch the same ballgames at the same time and text all the way through them.

Ron, so cool that the shows are still being shared.

Hugh would have been excited about this book. He's partly the reason for my Bloomfield obsession.

Have a great day! Grin
