My heart is broken over Kofi. He was such a sweet person and so very talented. I remember the first time I went to see the DTB (well 2nd, I did see Derek when he was only 16)...Anyway, it was a small club, one of my favorites, and I got there early. I was by myself and a little nervous. The roadies were setting up the equipment and he walked right up to me and introduced himself. It was awesome! Since then I've seen him numerous times at Wanee and it was like seeing an old friend. Musicians like that are rare. God rest his beautiful soul.

Finally get to see some live music this weekend!!! The Devon Allman Project with Duane Betts as his guest. Looking forward to this tomorrow night!

Good day loungers!
Planning on going to the Allman Betts Band show this Thursday in Torrington, CT.
I am psyched to see them, maybe Jaimoe will show up too!
What a great way to kick off the spring.
Hope all are well, y'all a great bunch.

Hey Bobby … good to "see" you!

Colin - did you see the info about this:??
(From Oldcoot)
As we near the 50th Anniversary of the forming of the band, in celebration of that monumental occasion, I’d like to offer their show from September 3, 1971 in Montreal at The Place des Nations.
This is a rough sounding audience source of lesser quality that has chatter, some foul language and has only one really tremendous thing going for it…. the original lineup of the Allman Brothers Band!!!
It’s a fairly standard set, but, there are a couple of nice wrinkles to it, because you just never knew where Duane might take the band on any given night.
Since this is a vine, which depends upon the speed of which it’s passed along to other interested listeners, I ask that as you receive it, you should burn it and turn it. Do NOT sign up for this if you’re going to receive it and then bog things down by keeping it from proceeding onto the next person.
I would ask that the first recipient be in the U.S., unless the first signee is Colin Harvey as I would gladly send it Harvey’s way if he’s numero uno.
Long live the memories of Duane and Gregg Allman, Berry Oakley and Butch Trucks! Best of all wishes to surviving members Jaimoe and Dickey Betts. You all made some amazing music together!

Hey Colin and Ron!
Allman Betts Band show last Thursday was very good. Duane is developing a real good guitar style.
3 ABB songs: Blue Sky, IMOER, Dreams and Gregg's Multi Colored Lady
Special guest Kris Jensen on sax for a jammed out Shakedown Street finale!
Show was one 2 hour set.
This band has great potential IMO.
Duane signed his CD after the show, friendly guy.
Will try to put a full review up later.

Hi Gary, I love when these gems pop up! Have you heard it yet?

Hi Peg - No, not yet - I'm on the vine list - maybe another couple of weeks - send me your address and I'll pass it along.....

Cool, thanks, Gary!

Morning All
Up early to get Grace to the bus for the first spring track meet. She cracked 5 feet high jumping the other day, she had been chasing that for awhile, says the limit.
Dan is winding down sophomore year at Providence.
I swear they were just babies.
Puppy keeps me busy with long walks, good for her and me.
Stay well all.
