RIP Butch Trucks
I was glad I got to see the band as many times as I did. Butch and I never did see eye to eye on politics and he did threaten me once (lol), I have that ability to piss people off. I am sure I deserved it. Butch was very passionate about his views. Anyway, he never gave a bad performance. I never walked away from a show thinking the drumming was lacking. In fact, he kept that freight train rolling and nailed it more often than not. I always enjoyed JaBuMa too. Sometimes when one door closes, another one opens. Who knows what the future will bring. I loved this band and it is a sad day for sure.
My condolences to his family and friends. These are hard times indeed.

Yes it was tough news for us all. I guess you posting this here is a reminder of why you should be removed from this silly playpen even if it doesn't even really matter anymore.
I am sad that it ended this way for Butch and his family and friends.
Even without Derek and Warren in the mix, I was always hoping for a reunion with Mr. Betts. It could still happen, but it won't be the same without Butch.

Thanks for the link, good medicine. RIP Butch Trucks
This was probably one of the best shows I attended. I loved the Mt Jam>JaBuMa>Mt Jam. There was something in the air that night and both bands were on fire. What a great set.
