There didn't seem to be any devious intent on the widow's part. Considering she was asking $11 or whatever, she probably didn't know the difference between official and bootlegs. What Clapton should have done was ask for the bootleg so he can remove it from the market and offer her a signed copy a legit release (with condolences).

@porkchopbob agree, Clapton has seems to have become a salty old curmudgeon in his old age.

There was an article in Rolling Stone mag about him recently that did not paint him in a very positive light if all of it was true.
