You've Never Heard This Before
Just when you think you have heard everything, and I mean everything, well...

In this case the grieving spouse wanted to be able to have the man's children even without him. Okay, somehow we can maybe accept that.
But what about other people who die and greedy Dr.'s and patients unable to have children, will they actually start selling dead men's sperm to desperate women who want donors if there is a local shortage of donors? Will the dead men provide a reservoir of residuals just to make sure there is some on hand to use? Will it become part of organ donation, with any available part available, including that to go into someone else? The implications are far reaching.
I just cannot comprehend taking the sperm from a dead man and using it to create children for anyone. Isn't that going tooooo far? Is nothing off limits because the technology is there?

Plenty of live men who's sperm shouldn't qualify for reproduction, so I don't really see much controversy here.
Don't you think when someone dies, their body should just die with them and go back to dust? It is ghoulish to be taking peoples essence, parts out of them when they die. (in my opinion).
Gotta agree this seems pretty ghoulish. Plenty enough reproduction going on without harvesting from stiffs. However, people donating their organs seems ok to me.
