he has said he will not but, will he make more money in fee's he charges the gov't (us) by using his own properties? i understand he has not taken office yet, so using his own properties is acceptable to me for now. i mean he'd have to rent a building somewhere. but after he takes office i am not comfortable with this idea.
the more i think about this though.....the Bushes had the ranch in Texas and New Hampshire? did they profit from that? Where did the Clintons hang out? Or the Obama's? Or Reagan? Or Carter? Or Ford? Or Nixon? Or or or or or......so maybe this isn't weird.....question 1 is......did anyone profit? question 2 is even though it happened in the past, should it happen in the present or future? question 3 is should it be changed?

hmmmm....i'm sure you understand we are talking about politicians profiting off of being elected....despite their past business experience....profiting off of being elected?......you're ok with that?

I think he should take the salery. $400,000 is not a lot of money for the responsibilities of being president. However, I think he should donate the space the secret service needs in Trump Tower.
I would be interested in knowing if previous presidents charged the government for rent on their property for the secret service.

The Secret Service makes the decision as to what presence they need and how it is done.
Presidents know to listen and follow the Secret Service.
In the current circumstance the decision on what expenditures are made is decided by the administration.
So, if you are so concerned about what arrangements were made to protect Donald Trump you should ask Obama.
