My "guess" on the matter is once the pharmaceutical corporations both "map-out & patent" every compound/component and their uses in/of cannabis, the FDA will finally reschedule "everything" accordingly. The "decriminalizing" trip has ruined any semblance of being an organic grassroots movement anymore. Mom and Pop growers are a thing of the past in states that have recreational laws on the books. Corporate greed and government regulation have ruined something that will be soon be gone forever. Fucking with genetics in a lab never has a happy ending and for those that think shit through, one might wonder what the next big rehab boom is gonna be in the coming years? There are NO long term studies on what the high THC levels of dispensary weed does to the applicable receptors in the human brain w/ long term use. Science has proven that over stimulation/saturation of Opioid receptors in the brain wrecked havoc on human life... Why would the THC receptors in the same organ have a different outcome? This has nothing to do with it being "addictive" or "non-addictive", it is just a common sense concern as to why this industry has been given the green light to put shit on the market that nobody really knows what the long term effect is or even isn't.
