Damnit. Another of the greatest of all time- gone.
I had rather unique concert experience seeing Chick and Bela Fleck together. The unique part: the show was sold out except for the seats behind the stage (small university music department theater). It was like being in the band with them! You could see their visual cues and hear their asides. Very interesting show regardless of this. Like I said - one of the greatest - an innovator. He'll be missed.

Hate to hear this. Got to see him on his piano tour with Herbie Hancock and got to see Return to Forever backed up by Zappa Plays Zappa...Now that was a show! RIP Chick ...
I saw RTF at the Academy of Music in Philly. Corea, Clarke, DiMeola, and White. WOW! Amazing night of music.
Was at the Beacon the night Stanley and Lenny joined the Brothers.
Would have loved to have heard Chick join in. I think I read he was there.
Butch had good things to say about RTF if I remember correctly.
