President Donald Trump has long admired Oprah Winfrey, the much-beloved media mogul and self-made billionaire. But that may change now that Winfrey is reportedly considering a 2020 presidential bid herself.

Trump has spoken glowingly of Winfrey over the last few decades, even telling TV host Larry King in 1999 that Winfrey would be his top pick for a vice presidential running mate, should he run.

"I love Oprah. Oprah would always be my first choice," Trump told King. "She's a terrific woman, she's somebody that's very special. If she'd do it, she'd be fantastic. She's popular, she's brilliant, she's a wonderful woman."

And in 2015, Trump again suggested he might pick Winfrey as his presidential running mate, telling ABC News's George Stephanopoulos that the two would "win easily" if they teamed up.

"I like Oprah, what can I tell you?" Trump said in the interview. "She's great, she's talented, she's a friend of mine, she's a good person. I've been on her show. … I like Oprah, is that supposed to be a bad thing? I'd love to have Oprah, I think we'd win easily, actually."

It should be noted that Ivanka Trump has a history of not understanding how words work, so it’s possible she didn’t know who Oprah was referring to when she said we shouldn’t turn a blind eye to “corruption,” “injustice,” and “tyrants.” Presumably, she also didn’t see the contradiction in tweeting “#TimesUp” when her father stands accused of numerous accounts of sexual assault and misconduct. Coming off of the explosive #MeToo movement, the Time’s Up campaign has been a rallying cry for those showing solidarity against systemic sexism. But it’s also lent its name to a legal fund which helps tangibly support victims of abuse, something actress Alyssa Milano was happy to inform Ivanka about.

Mule seems to be very concerned all of a sudden about black violence in Chicago, so it can't be because she is black. Maybe because because she is female. I've seen no evidence here that they are concerned about women.

I don’t know, one might argue that his obsession with the content of Hilary’s stool could be spun as concern for her well being.

I think Oprah entering the political rehelm would be great. The more the merrier! Not sure I would agree with her on alot, but I don't know what she has to say on alot. I voted for Bernie Sanders in the primaries so anything is possible. I still long for less career politicians in our system. We have Trump...my jury is out on that still even though most have made up their minds one way or the other. It's not exactly what I had in mind sp far, but it is what it is. Oprah as President may not be what I have in mind either, but I'd likely prefer her over a politician.

I certainly can't say I'm excited to have Oprah as a candidate, and I would guess there will be another Democratic candidate I prefer. I would actually prefer to have someone with political experience, seeing how bad our current president has worked out. However, anyone would be better than Trump. I could imagine a lot of Democratic candidates who would be embarrassing, but none could be more embarrassing than Trump.

I saw a female Republican on TV the other night saying she would consider voting for "The Rock", as he had joked about running for prez. She then went on to say she would even vote for "a rock" over Donald Trump.
