If Bama wins, as they probably will, that will be a big gain on me. I honestly have no idea who wins the Clemson - Ohio St game. I may change my pick on that one.

I just can't imagine how demoralized Washington must be to looking at a 10-7 halftime game to the pick-six kick in the nuts 17-7 game right before they hit the locker room. Bama gets the ball. UW could stop them...depends on play calling. If Bama just runs Bo Scarborough every play they will win going away. UW doesn't look too bad on D when Bama drops back to pass. We;ll see. Praying my +14 stays alive.

I took FSU last night against Michigan. My wife went crazy on my butt for betting against my team. I couldn't get her to understand that the reason I took FSU was because they were getting seven points. I didn't want FSU to win, I just figured they would cover.

They pretty much had that handled early but Michigan did make it quite a game.

You changed yours to Clemson, I changed mine to Ohio St. Really tough game to predict. You could say OSU OL would be liability like it was vs PSU and Michigan. Or you could say that Clemson's inconsistent offense and overall Watson decision making could hold Tigers back. Would like to see Clemson build a bigger lead then see about betting Ohio St in the second half to come back a bit.

Michigan deserves credit for sure for fighting back. The way their coach is and with so many seniors no way would they stop trying to come back. That muffed punt handed them the free 3 pts in the 1st qrt and then the 14y INT return for TD really got them back in it. I thought Michigan D looked slow in some games this year and watching last night you could really see it. They will miss those leaders on D next year, but the big time programs reload and you need to reload with speed as the likes of OSU, Bama, etc have done. I'm sure Michigan knows this as well. Not sure Speight is the guy at QB going forward, but he could improve for next year with a full off season with him being the starter.

Is Jake Butt ok?

After tonight my average assigned number is a 28.

Ohio St -1.5 2nd half. I like it. The two missed FGs really hurt from a win perspective, but I think they are too good, coached too well to lose this game by 17 pts.

One of my very good friends is an Ohio State alum and as so, a diehard fan. I can't wait to see him and hear his perspective.

I don't believe in conspiracies but the line on the game dropped by a point and a half. It might not seem like much but it is telling.

I guess Michigan or Penn State would have made it a better game. As a Michigan fan I am supposed to detest Ohio State but I really don't. But I can't stand Urban Meyer.

When I was watching the games with my wife yesterday she asked me who I disliked more, Urban Meyer or Nick Saban. I called it a tie. I think they are both jerks. 😮

The Clemson game was really kind of beautiful. To dominate at this level, in a playoff semifinal with everything that is on the line, in a way that is just as great to see it happen as a game featuring a last minute score for the win. I mean, this isn't Austin Peay or something...it's Urban Meyer, one of the greatest coaches of our time. I don't like Meyer either, but he is a big time winner. And to beat Ohio St like that, not some downtrodden version hoping to regain the glory years, these are the Buckeye glory years. What Clemson did, that was awesome!

Not sure if swapping teams would've ensured a different result. Might've been a more competitive game, hard to say that replacing a dozen teams with Ohio St last night doesn't get a game more competitive than 31-0, sure. That Clemson team last night may have been able to beat all comers.

I am glad it not only keeps the door open to criticizing the selection committee for picking a non-conference champion, it kicks that door wide open for criticism that the team they hand selected didn't win their division, didn't win their conference and didn't show up for the playoff game in the most embarrassing fashion. I am all for that criticism being hung around their neck. Prefer to use a model of conference champions only and reducing the need for people like the committee picking their favorite, or I mean, best teams.

I would love to refute this, but dangit, I cannot.

The Buckeyes have played way above their heads this whole season and it sure showed against Clemson.

Nick Saban is so incredibly good at what he does when is comes to swerving the media. All the media is talking about is Lane Kiffin, blah blah blah. Meanwhile, Saban's players can concentrate and prepare for the title game. Brilliant.

Still wondering why Penn State felt the need to panic with those two stupid passes at the end. Take a knee, reset your mind, go get 'em in overtime.

Just beating Woods and DanB made it all worthwhile............ 😛 Grin

Actually, Village Dawg, Woods and DanB could all beat you - they all have 41 points on the game.... 😛

Again the Big 10 shows their usual Bowl ineptitude. They got off the hook for a few seasons but this year they pretty much bombed everywhere. Congrats to Clemson, if they play like they did perhaps they can come within 10 points of BAMA. LOL

ACC showed quite well.

Big Ten gets brought down to earth, I'm happy about that after all the run they got from having 4 top ten teams, those teams went 1-3 in bowls. Hopefully nobody in my family reads this who are all Buckeye fans, but glad they lost the way they did too. Sometimes people need humbled a bit or fan bases just get out of control.

That Rose Bowl was something else huh? Wow. Did earn some more respect for Penn St even in that loss.

Looking forward to Clemson - Alabama Monday. Turns out we didn't even need a 4 team playoff, let alone 8. Sometimes there just aren't very many teams elite enough to compete for the highest prize, good example of that this year.

One thing that has been exposed is how bad the QB's are. Michigan's sucked, PSU the same and a number of others.

Clemson is extremely lucky with DeShaun. Yes he'es thrown some bad picks but when it's crunch time he has stepped up.

I see that. Some other people hadn't selected their Title game pick so their potential higher total max points weren't showing.

FCS / IAA Title game coming up in an hour. Hometown Youngstown State Penguins vs James Madison.

I went to the YSU home playoff game the day of Army-Navy. Cold. All YSU knows is playing in the cold. Their semifinal game at E Washington was played with a high temp of 5 I think. Cold in Texas today. Not sure it hurts Virginia based James Madison, but YSU definitely used to it. Spread is 10. I know James Madison is better and YSU is inconsistent and known for a blunder or two a game, but 10 is awfully steep!
