You remember the very first audio device you ever owned?

This is what i had, or very close. Hid it under my pillow, drifted off to,some amazing sounds, Somebody To Love, Crystal Blue Persuasion, Draggin the Line, Dizzy, when Riders On the Storm came out it was the most mysterious, best thing I ever heard.

I can still smell those transistors cookin!

I'm willing to bet that everyone born in the 50's and 60's had a similar transistor radio. Mine was probably a GE. All black with the ends of the tuner and volume knobs protruding out from the side. Listened to alot of WFIL and WIBG , along with lots of Phillies games through it !

Mine was a Fisher-Price record player. Not the toy one with the deep-grooved plastic records with nursery rhymes. This thing played real records.

My first records for it were the singles Eye of the Tiger, Bobby Sue, and Ghostbusters.

LOL I knew the Fisher Price thing might come up. Wow, never heard of a Fisher Price real record player.

I had something similar to this in the mid 70's around the age 5.
