Cool when people pick good songs. I hate how these shows all add some sad side story to everything. I am sorry his Mom died but it was 8 years ago.

Totally appears to be following a formula to me?

They listed the guy as a musician with his name & age onscreen. If he'd played the acoustic while singing, perhaps believability would apply? The vocal delivery followed the version we all know and love, (melody/cadence/pitch) and the judges overplayed the performance (IMHO) It was like that line in "Frolic Thunder" , a black man, playing a white man, playing a black man.... or however it goes?

I hear better singers on street corners and in coffee shops, oh well. Can't monetize mere vocal ability nowadays for the most part. Too many other "machines" need to be fed. Hope the best for the guy.
