Never thought I'd see a tribute to my two favourite musicians at the same time, however indirectly. Larkin Poe are huge lovers and followers of Duane though they're on lap steel here, and they're doing this song as a tribute to Count Basie without mentioning Herschel Evans, the featured sax on the original record. I read Herschel was already playing this before he joined Basie when it was a hit for Bing Crosby called 'Can't We Talk It Over'.

I am on  Yes jag right now I have been listening to th Progeny Seven from Seventy Two box set.

It is seven shows they used to pick tracks for the Yessongs 3LP album.

The SQ blows away the muddy sound of Yessongs.

Great write up by the engineer who mixed the multitracks how the Dolby on the tapes was misaligned which is why Yessongs SQ is muddy.

He aligned the Dolby by hand so the boxset SQ is stellar.
