Was watching a bootleg DVD of the Govt' Mule 2012 June 2nd Hunter Mountain Jam concert last night. He brought out members of Levon Helm's band, horns and all, and did an amazing set of Band covers.
It inspired me to listen to my vinyl copy of The Bands "Rock of Ages" LP while making lunch today.
Such a great band and one I regret never having seen live.

Was playng Savoy Brown- Getting to the Point 1968 LP while making brunch this morning.
Great slow blues with Chris Youlden on vocals

Fine choice - Chris Youlden could be the most underrated/greatest unknown blues singer ever - love Blue Matter, w/Train to Nowhere, Ring in his Nose Ring on her Hand etc - Savoy Brown forever -
saw Kim a few years back, he could still bring it - equally as much so as Chris as a player imo🎸
Most recent listen(s), J Geils, The Morning After - upgraded vinyl copy😁🤙🎶🎵

Had a 6+ hour roundtrip drive to take my 15 year old daugther to Nike Cross Country camp in New Hampshire for the week so finally got to listen to the complete deluxe 4 hour 7 minute Gov't Mule "With A Little Help From Our Friends" 1998 NYE concert.
One of my favorite live concerts of all time but never had time to listen to the whole thing beginning to end in one sitting.
The other 2 hours I listened to the Grateful Dead channel on Sirius/XM radio. Great cross section of live and studio album cuts.

Besides Goodbye Yellow Brook Road, that is my favorite Elton John album. Very underrated in my opinion.

Rashan roland Kirk: Volunteered Slavery from Rhino records. Includes a live 1968 set from the Newport Jazz Festival
Interestingly, I got into this after playing Derek Trucks Bands Songlines, which opens with another great version of Volunteered Slavery.
