TTB Champlain Valley Fair 7/9 - Les Brers

I caught TTB at a Gilford NH show 3-4 years ago an underwhelmed. Derek is a monster an the new material is great.
Gabe Dixon on piano, bass an drummer opened the show at 6pm and ended his set with a great version of Tangled up in Blue. Los Lobos was a good fit, jammy, upbeat, really enjoyed there set.
Derek came out to finish Los Lobos set a highlight to the show for sure. The set started off with Laugh about it, I am the Moon an
Outside Woman Blues which were great.
Done Somebody Wrong was simply amazing. I've seen Derek about 6-7 times now, incredible talent. I am so thankful he
continues to play the music he cut his teeth on.
Circles Round the Sun, Pasaquan leading into Les Brers, Hear My Dear was the highlight. I note Les Brers did not make the set list
but crowd absolutely loved it. Everyone dancing an Les Brers was smoking as expected. Pasaquan live is the Derek Trucks
we have been waiting for (ABB fans).
IMHO they are producing music close to that (ABB) level. Pasaquan is an incredible instrumental and
seeing live just take it to another level. You tube it if not familiar and then "Dream" about how incredible it will sound
live. Derek came to the front of the stage waving to fans and made it clear it cooled off as show ended at about 53 degrees. Don't miss the show if in your neighborhood. Encore ended at 1045 but will be reliving it for weeks !!

I think they are the best band out there right now. Derek gets tons of soloing time, but the rest of the band gets some too. GREAT sound mix also - his guitar is so clear and dominant without crushing anyone.

I was at the show in NH and listened to most of the other summer shows on the archive. They are all good - this one clearly has the most heat.
Yes, best touring band out there

Jim you are spot on with the sound mix point. Gabe Dixon is adding tremendously to this band.
He is singing more than prior tours, writing music and wow is he good on the piano/organ.

Forgive my ignorance, how does one access the "archive" of recent tab shows?

TTB I meant

There is a site called The Internet Archive. Its address is simply www.archive.org and it has a WEALTH of good stuff!!!

thank you Jim
