The Funniest Version of an ABB Tune Ever: Ramblin' Man on Jimmy Fallon
I'm assuming that Fallon got permission from the band first otherwise there would have been a lawsuit for sure.
It's exactly like this version isn't it? Only difference is the Fallon version is in color!
As far as I know, parody, satire, etc. are protected forms of music (and probably movies, etc.). Anybody can spoof anything. Yet Weird Al is respectful enough that he asks permission and accepts the outcome. For example, Prince never allowed Al to have a little fun. But he could have, and with no repercussions.
The only thing off with this is that there isn't a second drummer.
Who are these guys? This is an amazing work, reminding me of All You Need Is Cash by the Rutles:
Billastro
@billastro Don Henley testified to Congress about musicians and songwriters being ripped off by YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram etc.
Henley is worth over $200 million dollars but doesn't like it for himself and especially those musicians and song writers who are struggling to make a living and who often get nothing from these platforms.
I thought streaming was how many ARE money money now. Guess I'm wrong.
