Tedschi Trucks Band do "Done Somebody Wrong"

My theory has always been that if the ABB would just hang it up and free Warren and Derek, their own bands and projects that they truly want to be in right now with will sooner or later start playing ABB songs................but the ABB has to die first.......which brings us to the TTB playing "Done Somebody Wrong" a couple of weeks ago. What is so cool about this version, however, is that this isn't lifted from the ABB version but instead it is informed by the earlier version of the song by Elmore James that the ABB lifted to begin with. Cool!!!

"Oh You Pretty Things"

Preach!!

Tedeschi Trucks Band ripping on Bobby Blue Bland's "I Pity The Fool"! What??? TTB mixing it up!First solo by Susan, right in her Girl Power wheelhouse!

Outstanding version of done somebody wrong...sounds much closer to the original Elmore James version...thanks for posting.

I really liked that too.

I'm guessing this one wasn't Derek's idea....

HOLY CRAP...TTB covering David Bowie?!? That is FREAKING AWESOME!!!

Saw them do "Done Somebody Wrong" acoustic at the Beacon in September (the Allmans still had 6 shows left but the end was nigh). I love the swing the Allmans added to the tune, but I dig the roots TTB brought back to it. That was an insane show - with Jerry Douglas and Taj Mahal.
I'm really bummed that it looks like they won't be at any of the Fests (Wanee, Peach, Mt Jam) this year, but can understand them wanting to do their own thing (and 4 nights at the Beacon each September doesn't hurt).

Come on down to Lockn' Porkchopbob! It's a great festival and the line up keeps getting better!
I saw TTB a few months ago in Richmond at the Carpenter Theatre. They had some equipment issues that kept them from hitting the note, but the show had some soaring moments.
Then they broke out James Taylor's "Fire and Rain" for the encore and the everything went to a different level. It was great!
I have tickets for both Warner Theatre shows in DC next week and I am super psyched.

this is a great frickin band. period
