Stones covers

I can't believe I forgot about this one yesterday. This is a killer "Gimme Shelter" by Taj Mahal and about a dozen other musicians from all over the world. It is from the Playing For Change organization which has put out some great versions of a lot of different songs.

Forgot one of my favorites (and one of my favorite Stones tunes):

wow another Linda Ronstadt "Tumblin Dice", found this live clip from Atlanta Fox 1977, she steamrolls this number:

How about Phyllis Diller singing "Satisfaction"? (Or should this be in the strange music thread?)

Steve Earle does "Dead Flowers". For a very long time I always thought it was something he wrote. I was in a bar several years ago and The Stones version comes on the jukebox. I made a comment along the lines that they were covering Steve Earle. This guy looked at me like I was nuts and promptly corrected me. Oops!

An album of instrumental Rolling Stones covers with sitar and tabla. Some work better than others. "Paint It Black" sounds quite good to my ears.

Same, but I always thought it was Townes Van Zant, as featured on The Big Lebowski
