I just finished listening to Santana at Tanglewood from 1970. The sound quality is not perfect but the performance was. If you get a change listen to this show you will not regret one minute. It is almost a greatest hits of their first two albums. My posts over the years tend to be original ABB or other rock of the era. The band is tight but still sorta raw in a good way. This performance is almost one year to the day after Woodstock. I did not find one song on the CD that I did not like. If you get a chance take a listen. You will not regret it.

Santana - Live at the Fillmore '68 is a outstanding album. A performance prior to the release of the first Santana album which was released in late summer '69. If you haven't heard it it'll melt your socks, if you have, you'll love it as much as I do.

I have it and your are right I love it. Also there another live cd from 1968 or so call the Mission District or something like that and it great also. To me this is the time Santana was at it's peak and went downward from the 3rd album forward.
