If I showed up in Chicago the night of the show do you think I could get in cheaply?

I doubt it unfortunately. I might go myself. Never seen The Stones.

Do the lucky dip thing when they offer it. This is the info from the last dates if you are not aware what it is but it works.

We lucked out on the lucky dip a few years back for a Montreal show. $ 150 total for two tickets that were valued at 325 ea. Fantastic seats the best I have ever had for a Stones show. Had to scramble to arrange to get there, but well worth it. They let you know only about 24 hours in advance if you have “won” and you don’t know where the seats are until you pick them up.

They often do several rounds of lucky dip sales. I was accepted for them months in advance of the show I went to. So I don't want someone to be discouraged from trying because one thinks you only find out 1 day in advance.

Will they be carrying their oxygen tanks on stage?
Probably got them hidden behind the stacks.

Jagger still covers 10 miles while singing for two hours. I bet Mick Jagger could outrun you, and Richards could jam you into dust.

My Stones interest essentially begins and ends with Mick Taylor's involvement. No Mick Taylor, not much interest on my end - though I wish Chuck, Darryl Jones, and Karl Denson all the best.

I know what you mean, pretty much how I felt re the Allman Brothers without Dickey Betts. And every Dead project since Garcia trucked. Once you lose the mainline you were hooked on, the band just can't reel you in. Not so for me with the Stones - I love Ronnie Wood, not as good a player as Taylor was, but he is way more of a Rolling Stone. That said, I haven't listened to a note the Stones recorded since Some Girls.

Thinking about heading up to Seattle for what may be my last Stones Pilgrimage.

Sincerely happy for Stones fans.

I love Richards and Mick Taylor's era was incredible.

But I can't stand Jagger. Have never cared for his voice and he gives me the creeps.

Musically it has always been Richards band. What an all-time great.

And Keith would tell you its Charlie’s band.

Been a Stones fan all my life. I can find something great in all their eras. Brian Jones, Mick Taylor and Ronnie. Seen at least one show on every tour since 81 (my 1st) I still remember friends and I saying back then ‘we gotta go, Mick is going to be 36 or 37 soon and who knows how much longer Keith will be around’. I did pass on their last tour in NA a couple of years ago. It was just stadium shows with one at the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City. Wish I had of done that one. I just cannot do football stadiums for concerts anymore; hockey arena is max for me. Which is why I will bail on this one unfortunately. Maybe they will do a Fall/Winter leg of arena shows or play at my favorite blues bar. Hey I can dream can't I !!

Thanks to Chuck Leavell as their musical director, they have vastly improved in the live performance. I honestly believe they have sounded better over the years. The set lists remain pretty static and predictable, but they always manage to through in a real gem or two every night.

Thanks for posting this, I had no idea they were touring or that they have a date 6 or 7 miles from me (49ers' Levi's Stadium). Reality though is that once I see the ticket prices I likely will pass. I've seen the the Stones three times and I'm certainly not going to pay $250 to see them from way in back of a football stadium.

Saw them once on the Bridges to Babylon tour.

That was enough, no interest now.

Saw them at the Beacon Theatre in 2006 when they filmed Shine A Light .......which was epic. For years I avoided seeing them elsewhere as I didn't want to alter my 'final' time seeing them. I broke down however and saw them in Hartford and then Buffalo. I find that all of their shows are highly enjoyable.

you've got to hand it to these guys touring again at what-75 years old or something playing 2 hour shows worldwide-and even with Keith having fallen out of a coconut tree..on his head. Don't like all their tours but the last 'Sticky Fingers' tour was great, its out on video with great interviews with them too. Hard to believe but they seem to be getting even better lately. Defies all logic, wonder what their secret is?

Are you a Stones groupie or do you just have a problem identifying humor??
good for Mick that he stays healthy, cant say that for the rest of them, though.

Generous of Keith to say that but no one on earth believes that including Charlie.

Of course it is Keith's band, but last time I saw the Stones the crowd gave Charlie an undeniably longer and louder applause than any of his bandmates. Keith second, Mick last. Always fun to see everyone go crazy over Keith's numbers, and Mick get a weak response after his, when Keith's tunes are one-riff tossoffs poorly sung and shoddily delivered and Mick's are clearly superior, well-crafted compositions with actual lyrics, melody, and structure. Just something about Mick strumming a guitar looks odd. Haha, then Mick gets pissed and doubles down,, lashes back with a Stones anthem and puts Keith back in his place, proving once again they only had ten good songs. The ten best rocknroll songs ever done.

You're right. I meant ten rocknroll anthems for the ages, that will still represent 20th century rock a thousand years from now. They have beaucoup good songs.

Satisfaction
Sympathy For the Devil
Brown Sugar
Gimme Shelter
You Can't Always Get What You Want
Paint It, Black
Wild Horses
Midnight Rambler
Let It Bleed
Time Is On My Side
Can't You Hear Me Knockin
well, all of Sticky Fingers I guess, Exile too but not a thousand years from now.

Damn now I really wanna see em again.

Robslobs smackdown serves me right after me gettin all huffypuff pantybunched over musicmans oxygen tank joke i guess. Nice to see folks getting all indignant and defending the ROLLING F'N STONES!!!! Alright.

Maybe time to come up with some creative sneakin in strategies. Dress up like a plumber and lug a big machine of some kind to the service entrance. Who ya gonna call? Stonesbusters!

Did get tickets today in the Pre-Sale today for Seattle. Took quite some doing and attempts. Somehow over all the years have missed ever seeing the Stones. Considering I had Beggars Banquet when it came out and even younger as a kid played all of older sis's 60's Stones album on a fold open portable record player, this is way overdue (Play With Fire my old fav). The fact what I hear lately and written reviews show that their playing has held up very well made the choice easy. Along with the legendary songs, I hope on Monkey Man!
