Rock genres

The Yacht Rock thread got me thinking...
A few months ago I heard of a genre of rock called "Pirate Metal" . Got a chuckle out of that. I went to Wiki and looked up the different genres.
If you follow the link it will let you click on them and send you to a page that tells more about them.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

No "Polka Rock" under P? Looks like you forgot New-Wave SCHMENGE!

I always referred to the music on my local radio station as "butt rock", but I don't see that on the list.

Great list - it is missing a genre of a band I was in, billed as "Rock Folk". Am I the only one here into the "Shoegazing" genre. No joke, I dig Slowdive, Lush, Ladytron, most recently Wolf Alice.
