I'm not sure what kind of demand there will be for this so soon after the Fillmore East Recordings being released or what kind if any re-mastering was done on this.

But I guess the ABB are smart to cash in on the vinyl craze while it's still hot.

Here's the link.

Well the good is clear vinyl is usually the best quality as it most likely shows it is virgin vinyl. Most old LPs are a mix of virgin and recycled vinyl which adds to the surface noise and other imperfections on the record. The bad is I have read clear vinyl wears faster then a typical black vinyl record as the carbon black makes the vinyl more wear resistant. I have also read the carbon balck they add to black vinyl makes the LP quieter but I have never compared clear to black.

Well i did buy the recent Newbury Comics exclusive release of "ABB American University 12/13/70 show".
But i'll pass on this one. Clear vinyl or not but i already own a lot of different LAFE releases. But i guess Newbury Comics oddly enough already made that decision for me since their website mentions this release can only be shipped to adresses in the USA and Canada. Whatever the reason for that may be.

I thought about buying it but like you said I have so many different copies of LAFE I can't justify spending another $40.00 especially since I got the Fillmore East Recordings on vinyl for Christmas.

I bought the Rolling Stones 12X5 on clear vinyl at my local record store and the guy that runs it said it is supposed to sound better than black and he seems to know what he's talking about.
It does sound good but I don't have a regular copy to compare it to.

I wonder if more releases are going to follow.
Some of the 90's era or Hittin' The Note would be nice.
