Yes I'm Roanoke area where my dad had an electronics business plus a lot of time in New York City and the Greensboro area of North Carolina. North Carolina is where I saw the Allman Brothers the first time in 1970 and my last time seeing Duane Allman when the ABB played in nearby High Point College in 1971.
If you like hiking, the Roanoke area is a good choice. McAfee Knob is here. The most photographed place on the Appalachian trail.
